It also have been revealed to have 16GB of internal storage space.

Those are the only two details revealed but we can read into it further.

It had been thought that the 4G LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy S III would employ an Snapdragon S4 processor and it appears that this will be the case. The HSPA+ model has a quad-core Exynos processor.

What this means is that should the Galaxy S III arrive on either AT&T or Verizon, it probably won?t be quad-core in nature. T-Mobile however does not have a 4G LTE network and will be operating an HSPA+ network until 2013 when it too shifts to LTE. So that means that T-Mobile might be the only U.S. carrier to offer a quad-core version of the Galaxy S III.

Read: Which U.S. Carriers Will Get the Galaxy S III?

The Samsung Galaxy S III is currently slated to arrive in the U.S. during the month of June but as it stands, none of the United States? major service providers have confirmed that they will be playing host to the Galaxy S III.

All versions of the Galaxy S III will feature a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display, an 8MP rear camera with loads of bells and whistles, NFC support, a front-facing camera, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Share this Article:

Email

Facebook

Reddit

Tags: 4G, 4G LTE, Android, Galaxy S III, Galaxy S3, Hardware, LTE, Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy S3, Sprint, Sprint Galaxy S III, Sprint Galaxy S3

Category: Mobile

About the Author (Author Profile)
Adam is an editor based in San Francisco, California who loves his iPhone 3GS, iPad third-generation and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The drives each have 8 GB of storage space and are designed to celebrate the superheroes they represent.

The drives include a normal Ironman flash drive along with a silver War Machine version. These both look like the Ironman mask. The Captain America flash drive looks like a shield, the Thor flash drive looks like a hammer, and The Incredible Hulk flash drive looks like a green fist.

The Drives are apparently not going to be offered just yet in the US, but they are available in Taiwan, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. They also come in little Avengers boxes to celebrate the film. Pricing is unknown, but I would expect a premium for these flash drives.

via EverythingUSB

After installing iOS 5.1 when it was released back in March, I was thoroughly impressed with how it performed on my iPhone 3GS, a phone that was released all the way back in 2010. However, in the last couple of weeks, I have been dealing with some headaches. Apps have been crashing. My iPhone has restarted itself without provocation. Push notifications haven?t been popping up. It has also been sluggish. So, I?ve been hoping for an update to iOS 5.1.1 for my iPhone 3GS.

That update arrived today and I promptly installed it on my iPhone 3GS hoping that it would make the bugs disperse and offer a better experience on my iPhone 3GS as a whole.

Unfortunately, the process started off slow.

Read: iOS 5.1 on iPhone 3GS: First Impressions and Performance.

While trying to install the iOS 5.1.1 update, my phone somehow, mysteriously, drained 10% within, oh I?d say around three minutes. This, along with the aforementioned bugs, has happened to be numerous times recently. My phone will say something like 65% one minute and then I look down and I?m at 45% or some other random number.

I was then prompted with the nice little message that you can see off to the left there.

After charging back up, I once again installed the update and this time, it worked. The 40MB or so update took just a few minutes to unpack and install and there I was with an iPhone 3GS with iOS 5.1.1, hoping for the best.

For the last several hours, I have put my phone through the paces. I have been texting like mad, trying to recreate the push notification issue. Before, some texts hadn?t been showing up in my Notification Center and they weren?t popping up when my phone was locked. Instead, I had to look at the Message icon to see if there was anything new.

Now, after the update, that seems to have been fixed as new messages have been popping up left and right.

I have tested out all of the apps that have been having issues including Facebook, ESPN ScoreCenter, Yammer. Often, they would just close on their own and once in awhile, my iPhone would just shut off. I?m serious, this happened early this morning when I opened the ESPN app.

That hasn?t happened yet with the iOS 5.1.1 update so I?m feeling good.

As for the overall performance of the phone, it seems to be a lot faster. At times, the software would be a bit sluggish. This did not happen in the first couple of the weeks that I had the update. It was only in the last few weeks where I started seeing the entire OS slow down. Switching between apps was slow, getting into my texts was a hassle because it took so long to load.

Read: iOS 5.1 for iPhone 3GS: Final Impressions and Performance.

So far though, that sluggishness appears to have been dealt with. Opening folders is smooth. Opening apps works out fine. I can navigate in and out of menus and applications without any sort of a pause.

Right now, I?m impressed. Sure, the fixes weren?t listed in the change log, but I can definitely notice a difference between iOS 5.1 on my iPhone 3GS and iOS 5.1.1 on my iPhone 3GS.

If you?ve been having issues with iOS 5.1, and many of you have commented and written in to say that you have (I am trying to answer as many of those emails as I can, by the way), you certainly want to update your iPhone to the latest version of the software.

Before I go, I?ll leave you with this. As glad as I am that Apple has updated the iPhone 3GS with iOS 5, I can sense that the end of the rope is near in that I doubt that Apple updates the 3GS with iOS 6. Nothing confirmed obviously, but this is beginning to become a trend.

Read: How to Jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, and iPod touch.

Apple releases update for iPhone 3GS and I fall in love with it. Problems start happening a month to a month and a half in and then Apple releases a new update that takes care of the issues. The process then repeats itself.

I can?t be mad though. I?ve almost had this phone for three years.

How have your experiences with iOS 5.1 and now, iOS 5.1.1, been thus far?

Share this Article:

Email

Facebook

Reddit

Tags: Apple, Apple iPhone, Apple iPhone 3GS, Featured, iOS, iOS 5.1, iOS 5.1.1, iOS 5.1.1 for iPhone 3GS, iphone, iPhone 3Gs

Category: Editorials, Mobile

About the Author (Author Profile)
Adam is an editor based in San Francisco, California who loves his iPhone 3GS, iPad third-generation and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. even when the camera is on a tripod ? aren?t level. Neither of my cameras have a built-in bubble level, so I have no way of knowing if my shot is level until after I?ve taken it. Luckily, I have Photoshop so I can level things up later. With this Level Camera Cube from Photojojo, I could save myself some editing time. The Level Camera Cube is a 1? With an adjustable transmission range from 3 to 500 feet.

T?d is now currently over on the Kickstarter website, where its looking to raise $50,000 to help it make the jump from concept to production. Watch the video after the jump to see its designers talk you through the benefits of the T?d smart bacon device.

The has been developed, designed and created by Rowdy Robot, and allows you to automatically set configuration changes to your devices on any core proximity event, and can even interact with your social networks if desired. Rowdy Robot explains:

?For quite some time we have wanted to extend the functionality of the mobile devices we already own by being able to connect our projects to the web.

We experimented with a variety of options including Arduino, Active RFID and a few RF based technologies to create a smooth, seamless connection to a mobile device. These approaches had their strengths, but they were also too large, power hungry, expensive or complex to accomplish our goals.?

The T?d is currently over on the Kickstarter website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to design. So if you think it is something you could benefit from, jump over to the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help T?d become a reality.

Source: Kickstarter

Read More For More Information

<span style="e;text-decoration:none; font-family: Verdana, Arial;"e;> Webcam video recording in your browser!

Bandwidth saved by RSScache.com

[Ad] OVERSTOCK 52" TVs: $49.53

Get a 52" LED TV for $49.53. Said to be ideally manufactured to deliver true sound for those who are always on the move, the Bowers & Wilkins P3 headphones will feature custom-made drive units for detailed, natural sound. Not only that, to ensure that comfort is maintained at all times, there is a specially designed ear pad fabric which will offer improved acoustics and comfort.

In order to live up to the name Bowers & Wilkins, the P3 headphones will be rugged and lightweight in construction, sporting a foldable design in the process. Not only that, it will be available in white or black finishes, and will keep company the P5 on-ear headphones and C5 in-ear headphones where excellence and quality are concerned.

As mentioned earlier, the Bowers & Wilkins P3 headphones will be able to fold up for easy storage, and can be stowed away into its own compact hard-shell carry case for that added bit of protection. In terms of audio quality, expect the best bang for your hard earned buck, as the P3?s speaker diaphragms will boast driver terminals which have been positioned in order to ensure uniform airflow, leaving you with a more linear movement and less distortion.

When incorporated alongside ultra-linear neodymium magnets and precision damping, it paves the way for a smoother motion and a more accurate, natural sound. The ear pad fabric has also been specially designed for P3 in order to improve the sound quality, and is also extremely comfortable, letting you listen for hours on end without your ears feeling ?hot? unlike other far cheaper headphones.

Each purchase of the P3 will also feature the aforementioned hard carry case and a choice of cables: one with a remote/microphone attachment that works seamlessly with your iPhone®; and another that ensures compatibility with all other mobile phones and MP3 players. The asking price for the Bowers & Wilkins P3 headphones as it arrives in the market later this June in black or white shades? A ?mere? $199.99.

Company Page

Email to a friend

<span style="e;text-decoration:none; font-family: Verdana, Arial;"e;> Webcam video recording in your browser!

Bandwidth saved by RSScache.com

LOGiiX Styluses Review

At some point, most tablet and smartphone owners think about buying a stylus. Today I have threes styluses from LOGiiX to show you that can be used for writing, drawing and even presenting at your next meeting. LOGiiX isn?t a company that I was familiar with before they contacted me to ask if I?d review some of their offerings. I?m happy to say that the quality of their products is top notch. But let?s delve in a bit deeper.

Note: Click the images in this review to see a larger view.

LOGiiX sent me three of their styluses including the Stylus Titanium, Stylus Presenter and Stylus Diamond. To be perfectly honest, I was only looking forward to trying the Stylus Diamond. The others look like every other stylus I?ve seen in the past few years. At least that?s what I thought when I was browsing their website before actually receiving the samples. Let?s start with the Stylus Titanium.

LOGiiX Stylus Titanium

Price: $19.95

The Titanium was the LOGiiX stylus that I figured I?d photograph, try once, write about and then shove into one of my gadget castoff drawers.

The reason why I thought the Titanium wouldn?t impress me, is that it looks very similar to the generic standard of capacitive styluses: The Targus Stylus. That?s not to say that there?s actually anything wrong with the Targus, It?s just that there?s nothing unique about it.

The Titanium has a nice heavy pocket clip and is available in seven colors. It is slightly shorter and wider than the Targus, but weighs the same and has the same hollow style rubber styus tip. It?s just a silver (titanium?) color instead of Black like the Targus. Using the Titanium on my iPad feels no different than using the Targus. Because the tip is large, this stylus is better suited for anything that does not require detailed lines. I wouldn?t use this stylus for drawing, with the exception of using it to play Draw Something. I also wouldn?t like to use it for writing text in apps like PhatPad or Paper because you can?t see what you?re writing, which tends to cause you to write larger than necessary.

Bottom line: The LOGiiX Titanium Stylus is no better than the Targus Stylus, but costs $5 more. For that fact, I?d skip this one.

LOGiiX Stylus Presenter

Price: $39.95

The Presenter Stylus has a nice matte black metal body with a definite heft to it. That heft translates into 1 pound 6 ounces. Yes, you read that right, this stylus weighs over 1 pound. That might sound like a lot, but it does feel good in my hand and has a nice balance. That said, the weight may be more than what some people will like.

The Presenter is actually three ?tools? in one. First of all, it?s a stylus with a large hollow rubber tip. Nothing special there. The same comments that I have about the Titanium stylus also applies to this stylus. It?s fine for anything that doesn?t require a lot of detail.

The The lower part of the stylus can be unsnapped from the barrel, flipped and then snapped back in, to convert the stylus into a ballpoint pen. Included in the package are 2 extra pen refills ? all of which have black ink.

The only things missing from the Presenter Stylus is a cap to protect the pen or stylus tip when it?s exposed and a way to retract the ballpoint tip.

The third ?tool? that the Presenter Stylus offers is a Red laser pointer for presentations. Included with the stylus are 3 button cell batteries that install in the cap. The button on the side of the cap activates the laser for as long as it is held down.

The Presenter Stylus is well made and would make a nice gift for your favorite corporate gadgeteer.

LOGiiX Stylus Diamond

Price: $34.95

Out of the 3 sent to me by LOGiiX, the Stylus Diamond is the one I was most looking forward to reviewing.

The stylus has a matte black metal body with a pocket clip. You?ll also notice that there?s a protective cap on one end.

If you remove that cap, you?ll see why this stylus excites me?

It has a unique plastic tip which is clear so that you can see through to the screen and the line that you?re drawing.

The tip isn?t exactly a new design. It?s similar to another popular stylus ? The Adonit. The Adonit has been my favorite stylus for drawing due to the clear tip makes it much easier to draw close lines.

In my opinion, the Diamond Stylus has a slightly better design than the Adonit. Instead of using a ball joint, it uses a spring. The spring allows the tip to easily maneuver around the screen no matter which angle you hold it, but unlike the Adonit, it will not get loose and potentially stop working. Note, I?ve not had any problems with my own Adonit styluses, but I?ve seen complaints that they sometimes stops working.

Included with the Diamond Stylus is a spare tip and 5 circular protectors that you can stick on the bottom of the tip if you?re concerned that it might scratch your tablet?s display.

Writing with the Diamond is much easier than writing with either of the other two LOGiiX styluses because you can see through the stylus tip to the display below it. It allows you to write smaller and make detailed drawings as it glides smoothly across the screen. This stylus even gives me slightly more control than the Adonit.

The LOGiiX Stylus Diamond is a keeper and is my new favorite stylus to use for drawing and writing.

Sensu Artist Brush Capacitive Stylus Review

oStylus DOT Capacitive Stylus Review

Adonit Jot Pro Stylus Review

Nomad Compose Dual Tip Paint Brush Stylus Review

Product Information

Price:

$19.95 - $39.95

Manufacturer:

LOGiiX

Pros:

Diamond stylus makes writing and drawing easier

Presenter stylus is 3 tools in one.

Cons:

Titanium stylus is no different than a Targus stylus, but costs $5 more

Presenter stylus weighs over 1 pound

Tagged as: Stylus

Subscribe to our RSS feed.

Click Here To Know More Click Here

<span style="e;text-decoration:none; font-family: Verdana, Arial;"e;> Webcam video recording in your browser!

Bandwidth saved by RSScache.com

HTC One X now available from AT&T

It?s the day many of you have been waiting for: the HTC One X is now available at AT&T stores countrywide. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 was once rumored to have been delayed because of a processor change, dual-core to quad-core, but it appears that Samsung wasn?t lying when it told us that it would be coming with the announced dual-core processor.

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1?s price shows that the company is now committed to bringing tablets to non-premium users and Samsung hopes that the $399 price tag will help it to compete with the likes of Amazon which offers the 7-inch Kindle Fire for $199 and Apple which offers the iPad 2 for $399 as well.

Samsung?s latest tablet packs some enticing features on board which look especially appetizing with its low price.

It features a 1280 x 800 HD display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and it?s also going to be running Google?s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box.

Samsung?s other Tab-branded tablets have yet to see Android 4.0.

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 also features front-facing speakers, 50GB of free Dropbox cloud space, HDMI via the proprietary port ? it requires an accessory, and two cameras, one in the front and one in the rear.

It also has GPS and Bluetooth 3.0.

Samsung also announced a $249 Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 alongside the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, a device that we reviewed just a short time ago.

Share this Article:

Email

Facebook

Reddit

Tags: Android, Android 4.0, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Hardware, Samsung, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

Category: Mobile

About the Author (Author Profile)
Adam is an editor based in San Francisco, California who loves his iPhone 3GS, iPad third-generation and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Have you seen one of these around?

AT&T and Samsung have really gone all out with the Samsung Galaxy Note. Advertisements are everywhere, but apparently they feel like that isn?t enough, and they have taken it to the streets. Google+ user Amar Rajvanshi has recently posted a few pictures of some Samsung representatives just going around the streets showing off the device.

The pictures were taken at South st. in Philadelphia. They are riding around in a truck that has Samsung ads posted all over it. I was a bit confused by the fact that the cars in that street were not circulating, and seem to all just be parked. Maybe a special street or some sort of event?

Either way, it was just interesting to see that Samsung has decided to do brick & mortar advertising. Hey, maybe a few of the people that check it out will actually buy it! I have never seen anything like this in person. Have you guys ran into any of these trucks around?

[Source: Google+ Via: Reddit]

Click Here To Know More Click Here

<span style="e;text-decoration:none; font-family: Verdana, Arial;"e;> Webcam video recording in your browser!

Bandwidth saved by RSScache.com

iPad accounts for 94 percent of tablet web traffic

There is no doubt that the iPad is the big player in the tablet world, but now comes word that the iPad ?accounted for more than 94 percent of ads,? according to Chitika. For every 100 iPad impressions, Chitika is serving slightly more than one ad to a Samsung Galaxy and Asus Transformer Prime and under one ad to the Motorola Xoom, BlackBerry PlayBook and Kindle Fire.

These numbers show the iPad?s dominance in a new light. In total, the iPad accounted for more than 94 percent of ads, according to the company. So iPads are not only outselling their rivals, but each one that is sold is also more heavily used, when it comes to Web surfing.

?Going forward the competition is going to be hard pressed to find a way to overthrow the seemingly omnipotent Apple,? Chitika said. ?Not only do they offer a great product, they have the undying devotion of their enthusiasts.? Obviously they are correct.

Source Allthingsd

<span style="e;text-decoration:none; font-family: Verdana, Arial;"e;> Webcam video recording in your browser!

Bandwidth saved by RSScache.com

Facebook Messenger for Android updated with location features

Facebook Messenger for Android has been updated to version 1.7 with a changelog that includes new location features and the ability to see when your messages have been read by their recipient. The ?What?s new? section on the app?s Google Play page has been updated accordingly, though it reads more as an add promoting messenger as alternative to using the texting plan you already pay for. The new product is called the Lasersaber and sells for $99.95. The device is an accessory that threads onto certain Wicked Lasers lasers.

That means you do have to already own laser or you need to order one for the Lasersaber to work. The Lasersaber accessory will work with any S3 laser. These lasers range in price from $289 up to almost $1000.

The accessory appears to have some sort of container that captures the bright laser beam and turns it into what appears to be a wide lightsaber blade. The company supposedly will offer the price to those willing to sign a two-year agreement for a $15 per month service package.

The Verge reports that Microsoft will offer a 4GB model of the video game console complete with its Kinect peripheral for a mere $99 and it will be available as early as next week in Microsoft retail stores.

It?s unclear if Microsoft will offer it online.

Read: Microsoft Prepping ?Woodstock? Xbox Music Streaming Service With Apps for E3.

Of course, getting a console at that price will come with a catch and that catch is a two year agreement with Microsoft for a service package that is said to be similar to an Xbox Live Gold Membership. There will also be additional streaming content from cable and sports package providers although there was no elaboration on what those extras might be.

Microsoft will allow customers to break that agreement during the two years, however, much like a mobile carrier, the company will apparently charge a early termination fee. The report did not specify how much the ETF would be. If Microsoft decides to follow in the footsteps of many mobile providers, it will likely be steep at first and then depreciate as time goes on.

The company is also said to be featuring a two year warranty with the bundle.

Doing the math, the two year cost for a subsidized Xbox 360 would be $459. That?s a little more expensive then the $418 that Microsoft charges for a 4GB Xbox 360 and Kinect bundle and two years of an Xbox Live Gold Membership. As it stands, Microsoft charges $299 for the Xbox and $59 per year for the membership.

If Microsoft does decide to introduce this, it could be the start of a trend where video game manufacturers start locking customers into agreements in the same way that mobile providers like AT&T and Verizon do.

Would you buy a subsidized $99 Xbox 360 with a Kinect?

Share this Article:

Email

Facebook

Reddit

Tags: $99 Xbox, $99 Xbox 360, Games, Gaming, Hardware, Microsoft, Microsoft Xbox 360, subsidy, video games

Category: Mobile

About the Author (Author Profile)
Adam is an editor based in San Francisco, California who loves his iPhone 3GS, iPad third-generation and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. goes beyond a simple stick-on joystick and adds a full controller to your smartphone. The controller has ?dual analogue nubs, digital D-Pad, 6 face buttons and 2 rear buttons,? and it connects via Bluetooth to devices with HID keyboard, joystick, and gamepad modes. It?s compatible with many emulators, including NES, SNES, Megadrive/Genesis, MAME, PC-Engine, MSX, Gameboy, Amiga, C64 and more. With an iPhone, you can play 30 iCade games from the app store, with no jailbreaking required. It has an internal 1360mAh battery for many hours of gaming, and you can even use the iControlPad to top off your iPhone?s battery.

There?s an adjustable metal clamp that holds your smartphone in place as you play, and it?s compatible with a wide variety of smartphones. You can stow or remove the metal clamp and use the iControlPad with your tablets. The firmware is upgradeable, too. Learn more about the iControlPad and the BluTrol iOS app that let?s you map controls to iOS games at the iControlPad website.
Is this your New Phone?

by Julie - on May 4th, 2012

Samsung is unveiling it?s newest entry into the Smartphone arena with the brand new Galaxy S3 and if its time for you to consider a new phone, this might be it, Why dont you let us know what you think?

The Samsung Galaxy G3 has all the expected modifications on a new generation phone, like a 22 percent bigger screen in a not much bigger frame and many enhanced controls, but what you might not know about is the cool stuff, like an impressive ?Smart Stay? feature which actually recognizes how the phone is being used by having a forward camera check the movement of your eyes or the wildly impressive impressive processor that will let you watch videos and write messages at the same time (you know, if unlike me you can do 2 things like that at once)

The S Voice interface allows you to use verbal commands to control music features, texting, alarm clock (including snooze) and calendar functions (move over Siri) or just tell your Galaxy S3 you want to take a picture and a neat-o zero lag shutter speed camera will let you capture shots like the ones you missed on your old phone. The nifty S beam feature allows you to share stuff simply by standing next to someone, or you can even mirror your Galaxy on a nearby television screen.

So needless to say, there are lots of things to think about, and some are already singing the S3?s praises from the rooftops but there are some reviewers that think the phone loses somethng in the ?feel? of it?that its perhaps a little too plastic-y or light compared to? well you know who.

What do you think? is this the must have phone of 2012? If you live here in the U.S. youre probably not going to get your hands on one till summer. We?ll certainly keep you posted.

source

Email to a friend
